Holme Hall Golf Club was formed in1908 on natural heath land with an abundance of gorse,broom and heather. It is18 holes,6404 yards in length with a par of 71.It is a regular venue of the Lincolnshire Amateur and Open Championship and has as its most famous Honorary Member Tony Jacklin OBE,CBE. Tony played much of his junior golf on the course and the club still proudly exhibit both his and Tom Weiskopf's scorecards when they both scored 63 in 1971. Holme Hall welcomes green fee paying visitors who are affiliated golf club members Parties and societies can be accommodated on weekdays only, by prior arrangement with the Secretary.

Welcome to Ashby Decoy Golf Club. One of the regions leading golf courses. The course has 20 holes - 18 of which forms a summer course of 6281 yards par 71 with 5 par 3's. The course is flat and very well provided with indigenous silver birch and oak trees. Greens have sprinkler system and main fairways have sprinklers all lifted to an on-going irrigation programme. The 7th hole - the avenue - and the 16th hole 'James Folly' are holes that visitors remember long after their visit. Visiting parties are welcomed all year with golf packages available.

Scunthorpe United Football Club - 8.51 miles
Scunthorpe United F.C. are an English football team based in the town of Scunthorpe, England. The club left the Old Show Ground and moved to the new Glanford Park in August 1988. It is somewhat box like in appearance with all four stands being an equal height. The ground is totally enclosed with all four corners having been filled (with advertising hoardings). The home end is terracing, whilst the other three sides of the ground are all seated. The main downside is the many supporting pillars to impede your view. The Club seem to have gone a bit over the top, with each stand having a named sponsor. Gone are East, West, North & South Stands. In are; Grove Wharf, Scunthorpe Telegraph, Study United & Caparo Merchant Bar Stands!
